Hüsker Dü, pronounced "hoo-sker doo," was an influential American punk rock band formed in the late 1970s. Known for their fast and aggressive sound, Hüsker Dü played a crucial role in shaping the punk rock and alternative music scenes of the 1980s.

Formed in St. Paul, Minnesota, Hüsker Dü consisted of guitarist and vocalist Bob Mould, bassist Greg Norton, and drummer Grant Hart. The band's name is derived from the Danish board game "Husker Du?" which means "Do you remember?" in English.

Hüsker Dü's music was characterized by its raw energy, melodic hooks, and introspective lyrics. They were one of the first punk bands to incorporate elements of pop and alternative rock into their sound, paving the way for the alternative music explosion of the 1990s.
