Secretly Canadian
Secretly Canadian is an independent record label founded in 1996 by brothers Chris and Ben Swanson, Eric Weddle, and Jonathan Cargill in Bloomington, Indiana.
Initially, they operated from the Swansons' basement with limited resources and experience.Their first official release was a re-issue of an album by June Panic.
The label gained prominence after signing Jason Molina (under the Songs: Ohia moniker), and later expanded to include artists like ANOHNI, The War on Drugs, and others.
